The back is an extremely complicated system of muscles and bones, and when it comes to pain management in the back, things can be a lot more complex than they may seem. Regardless of what’s wrong with your back, the body only has one way to tell you about it – pain – so it’s not too helpful. But there are two main causes of back pain, and the healing process is similar for both.
The more obvious problems is that of some sort of trauma to the back. Perhaps you got hit by something, or you were pierced by something sharp. In situations like these, you need to allow the muscle time to heal before engaging in healing. Make sure it is knitting and healing, and then go on with the steps that follow here next.
For many people that don’t get enough exercise, the pain comes from the muscles actually losing strength. They weaken and get a little slack, and start rubbing against each other, causing irritation that is read by the body as pain. If this is you, you need to start strengthening them. For starters, you really should learn how to properly stretch your muscles. Stretching is extremely important, as it keeps the muscles loose and limber, and most effective. Stiff muscles are not flexible enough to bend with any blows they take, and can get hurt easier.
Once you are flexible, you also need to strength train them a little. You are either getting weaker or stronger, your muscles are not ever static. Make sure you are getting stronger, and that way you won’t have problems like this, which is what many aging Americans are facing today.
This is not medical advice – you need to speak with a back pain specialist for that – but it’s a general guideline on what you will need to do to keep yourself healthy.
