Stomach fat is easy to gain, but can be very stubborn and difficult to lose. Losing weight in and of itself is not fun at all. Through all of the crazy diets and countless exercises you have been trying, the stomach fat still remains. What are you doing wrong?
Yo-yo dieting and manic exercising can be dangerous for you, so you will want to get rid of your stomach fat the right way. The absolute best way to lose stomach fat fast is to eat a well balanced diet, cut out the bad and unhealthy foods and exercise two to three times per week, focusing on your core.
Cut the White Flour and Simple Sugar
Simple sugar and white flour are not great for your body. They rob you of energy, keeping you from getting on any fitness equipment consistently. They also cause heart problems and can lower your metabolism. On average, Americans consume about three pounds of sugar per week. Yep, each week! That’s because sugar shows up in a lot of foods we don’t expect it to, such as ketchup, bread, mayonnaise and peanut butter.
You don’t necessarily need to avoid carbs, that can even hurt your efforts. You need carbs to help regain energy after a hard workout or a long day. To start, you can lower your carb intake and instead eat fruit, vegetables and wheat flour instead.
Cut Back on Portions
How much that you eat in one sitting has as much of an effect as what it is that you are eating. If you were to calculate the amount of calories that you consume if you have seconds or thirds, you would be very surprised and disappointed. And you need to eat a balanced diet, and not get all of your allowed calories from one source, like eating only fruit. Your body needs more nutrients than that.
Eating a lot of food won’t help you lose stomach fat. You can lose your stomach fat a lot faster if you eat a small meal every two to three hours, keeping those meals to 200 to 300 calories each, considering your resting metabolic rate (RMR). Your RMR is the number of calories you burn just by sitting and breathing. You also will take into account how many calories you burn with normal daily activities. For example someone who is active for a living, such as a construction worker, will burn more calories than someone who sits, such as an office worker.
Do Stomach Exercises
A number of good core fitness programs are out there for you. Look at exercise programs that work your whole body, such as Kenpo, Yoga or Kickboxing. You won’t be working on just one part of the body, but the whole body.
